NATURAL AND HUMAN-INDUCED GEOENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS IN THE CITY: FORMATION, DYNAMICS, AND IMPACT

The problems of cities, including environmental problems, are directly proportional to their growth. Currently, dangerous production facilities and 75% of the country's population are concentrated in cities. The article describes possible hazardous human-induced factors and reveals their links with natural hazards. With a close interaction between natural and technogenous factors, new natural and human-induced hazards appear in the city, which are grouped into seven groups. The principle of their formation is also considered. To resolve the contradiction between intensive development, which leads to a decrease in the stability of the geological environment, and the need to preserve ecological safety of the city, it is necessary to justify, identify and consider the natural and human-induced geohazards in regulatory documents.
