CAUSES OF THE INEFFICIENT RECLAMATION OF OIL-CONTAMINATED LANDS IN WESTERN SIBERIA

In accordance with the data given in the register of oil and oil products contaminated in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region (Yugra), the area of contamination was equal to 158 ha in 2014, the area of contaminated land remediated the same year amounted to 161 ha, but the area of preculturing contaminated land made 3445 ha on 01.01.2015. Over the years, the gap is not decreasing, but only increasing. Analysis of the causes of the situation indicates the inefficiency of the reclamation works carried out in the district and the increase in environmental danger. The approach developed for many years to carrying out reclamation works of oilcontaminated lands and control of their efficiency in the conditions of Western Siberia demands its deeper studying and change.
