The article discusses the standardization problems in the geoecological research of soils at construction sites in various countries; it is noted that in the modern world regulatory system geoecology is considered as a variant of buildings and engineering structures classification not by their features from the standpoint of ecological safety of construction. It is noted that the main surveying methods for construction and development of regulatory documents on methodology of construction sites are not considered in line with the “green” standardization prinicples; difficulties of implementation of “green” standardization in construction due to the lack of criteria related to the application of regulatory requirements of environmental safety at the stage of research are noted.
