The technogenic impact on the intensification of suffusion and karst processes in the karst-prone massifs is assessed for the Berezniki industrial region, Perm krai, Russia. Two groups of technogenic factors are consi-dered. The first group implies industrial objects, i.e., mine workings, water reservoirs, oil and water-intake wells, and other objects that exert the direct hydrogeodynamic impact on the structure and state of the rock massif, as well as on the transformation of stresses in the rock massifs, hydrodynamic regimes of groundwater, gas saturation and other features. The second group of technogenic factors is related to the geochemical im-pact of operating industries on the geological environment in the region. Gas and contaminated water emis-sions, damps and disposal sites for industrial waste make the natural media, i.e., soil, rocks, surface and ground water, more aggressive, and thus, promote the development of karst processes. Synergetic impact of both groups of technogenic factors raise many fold the rates and scales of karst development.

Key words: karst and suffusion processes, technogenic impact, industrial objects, gas emission, damps and waste disposal sites, intensification of processes.
